Government
In Mr. Ko's government class, our main focus consisted of American Governnent. In this particular project we studied the ten amendments. Our teacher first had us choose our groups, then choose our topics. My group choose the Eighth Amendment, which elaborates that "Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted."
This statement says that a person cannot be charged and punished excessively. Moreover, our teacher required us to create a powerpoint with relevant examples, pictures, and explanations about the amendment. This assignment made me realize that although the government has a lot of power over us, they are restricted by their own laws, which protect the citizens.
Process:
Choose our groups.
Choose our topic.
Split up the work.
Research the eighth amendment by using internet sources, textbooks, and newspapers.
Develop a PowerPoint with the information we find.
Present it to the class.

Economics
My Economics class is ran just like my American Government class; therefore, most of our projects consist of developing PowerPoints, which we present to the class. The Stock Project allowed us to learn about investments into the stock market. It allowed us to experiment with the stock market (without losing real money, of course), learning about the risks and benefits along the way. This assignment taught me that there are possibilities to make your money work for you, without having to work too much for it. It is a form of easy money; nonetheless, in order to receive the full benefit of your investment you must be patient and watch your company's performance to dictate whether it is the best time to withdraw your money.
Process:
Choose our groups.
Choose our companies
Split up $10,000 among the companies in the group.
Track the performance of the stock on a regular basis.
Gather information of the stocks and develop a PowerPoint.
Present it to the class.
